I am Joost. Graduated with honours as a theoretical physicist once. Today, I have 18 years of experience as a software engineer and Polder Software is where I develop my own ideas.

Entire Software Development Chain

I prefer to work in small teams where you have to do a lot of different tasks yourself. Therefore I have a lot of experience regarding the entire software development process:

• Development: I design interfaces and create front- and backends.
• Process: I set up CI/CD pipelines and perform project management tasks.
• Cloud: I build cloud native to keep time spent on infrastructure and its maintenance at a minimum.
• Tools: AI accelerates development of my products. I am the guide and controller. My hands get dirty where needed.

Software with Purpose

I do not create software just for the fun of it. My company’s goal is to create products which improve society one way or the other. Improving the world a little.

Private

I live in Emmeloord, am married and a father of two children (4 and 8 years). When I am not behind a computer, I am on my road racing bike. Not just for my endurance, but because a sharp mind starts with a healthy body.
